But after our long, restless, and cramped flight, we ran out of the plane excited to see the sights of Rome. Before that, we had to spend half an hour at baggage claim (which, by the way, caused many sweaty travelers to sweat more.) No matter, though, because we are all safe in Italy. Well, most of us anyway... kidding!
We took a train ride to the neighborhood in Rome where we reside in our hostel. After situating ourselves, redeodorant-ing, and changing several times, we were off to see the city of historical magical monuments next to Gelatterias and underwear shops.
I know, I know, this isn't exactly what was on the curriculum for our trip to Italy was, but us girls needed to window-shop. Most of us enjoyed large cones filled with cold Gelato, filling our tummies until we spoiled our dinner (which, no doubt, was pizza.) We decided to go for the most stereotypical Italian eating for our first day.
There are no doubts that this trip is going to be a faaaah-bulous one! All that must be done is REST.
Because, honestly, six girls and a teacher + no sleep for over 24 hours = cranky.
Ciao for now!
